Riding at Harris Hill raceway with the new Brembo RCS17 master cylinder.
Regarding the rcs17 master cylinder, it has a very different feel compared to the stock MC. With the stock unit, as you squeeze the lever you feel no resistance then suddenly you feel enough resistance to lock the front wheel. Thats what I would call very short travel. The lever travel from 0 brake to 100% brake is very short. However with the rcs17 I can feel the lever get firm very progressively and over a much longer lever travel. A close analogy would be like having a steering wheel that goes lock-to-lock in 4 turns versus one that takes 1 turn. The rcs17 takes slightly longer to go from 0% to 100% brake pressure but as a result I could feel the action of the forks more clearly, I could adjust front end dive more accurately.
I didnt spend a lot of time on this bike but I am confident the new MC will allow for more accurate trail braking into difficult corners where sensitivity and feel make a difference between confidence and trepidation
