The second demo testimonial of the Platone Educational Video Series presents the experience of the Italian DSO Areti, operating in the city of Rome, with the deployment of the Platone Open Framework. To face the challenges brought by the increase in renewable generation and the shift to a decentralised energy system, Areti equipped consumers and prosumers with smart appliances to enable their active participation in the local flexibility market and to optimise grid management, meeting the needs of system operators, aggregators and end-users.
The project PLATform for Operation of distribution NEtworks (Platone) receives funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 864300.
