In this leather craft video, I restore a vintage Western Cutlery fixed-blade hunting knife. It was in rough shape and in need of restoration, but I cleaned it up and gave it a new sheath. The leather washers in the handle were dry-rotted, so they had to be replaced. This involved drilling out pins and removing the pommel. I used G10 for the orange and white outer spacers. Fortunately, the blade wasn't quite as bad on this knife as it has been on previous restorations; It just needed a little polishing. So I guess this video is equal parts metal work, restoration, and leathercraft.
The wood piece is made up of maple, cherry, and eucalyptus. The whole sheath is sewn together with sterling silver jewelry wire.
Not sure what steel this is made of, but it took a keen edge!
