DESCRIPTION:
In 1858, decades after the fall of Napoleon, a handful of his veterans—now in their 70s and 80s—stood before the camera, their faces etched with the weight of history. These rare photographs capture a fleeting moment when the world of Napoleon and the age of modernity briefly overlapped. Once soldiers of the Grande Armée, they now lived in an era of steam trains and photography—relics of a vanished time, yet still standing. Now, through modern technology, we take the next step—bringing a glimpse of them back to life.
