As CLOSE as you can get to THE SUN | Chimborazo, Ecuador | Hiking and Mountain Biking Ecuador

Volcan Chimborazo in Ecuador is the closest point on Earth to THE SUN, even closer than Mt. Everest!

Rising to 6268m (20,548 ft) above sea level, Chimborazo is Ecuador's highest peak. It even boasts a 200m gain on Mt. Everest to being the farthest from the centre of the earth (and (technically closer to the sun than Mt. Everest)! We visited this Volcano to do a bit of hiking at this insane altitude, as well as a mountain biking adventure down the mountain through the incredible Andes mountain range.

Hi! We are Eric and Sarah, a couple of Canadians currently travelling around Ecuador. We’ve been married since 2017 but have known each other since we were only 6 years old! During our last year of university, we spent 4 months in Honduras on a semester abroad and fell in love with Latin America. Since then, we began planning and saving to do an extensive Latin America tour. 2020 delayed those plans by half a year but during this time stuck in BC, we explored a new hobby (like everyone in the pandemic) of videography and photography.
