**The Pandavas and Kauravas**: The Pandavas, five brothers (Yudhishthira, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula, and Sahadeva), are the sons of King Pandu, while the Kauravas, led by Duryodhana, are the hundred sons of King Dhritarashtra. Although both groups are from the same family, their rivalry becomes fierce.

**Exile and Return**: After a series of events, including a rigged dice game, the Pandavas lose their kingdom to the Kauravas and are sent into exile for 13 years. During this period, they prepare to reclaim their rightful inheritance.

The Mahabharata contains numerous subplots, philosophical discourses, and moral dilemmas, making it a rich tapestry of Indian mythology and culture. It deals with themes such as the nature of duty (*dharma*), the consequences of greed and ambition, and the struggles of human relationships.

Meaning
