Next upload from the Isle of Wight Beer & Buses event sees what is probably the youngest preserved bus I have videod thus far. Today's offerring is that of one of the London "bendybuses", and an early one at that. Being an integrally built Mercedes-Benz O530G.
The vehicle was new to London General in 2002 and allocated to Waterloo for use on Red Arrow Routes 507 & 521. The BX02 batch were the first of many to grace the streets of London, and were a controversial choice at that. This particular bus then passed over to Bournemouth University before passing to the Bromley Bus Preservation Group.
I knew I was unlikely to come across a preserved bendybus so I did. This was working Route T from Yarmouth Bus Station back to Newport Quay. The secion captured was from Shalfleet to just before approcaching Newport. Do enjoy!
