Is 8K Worth It? - Samsung QN900F Review
The Samsung QN900F is one of very few 8K displays in 2025. And as such, it's also one of very few displays that can show you a crystal clear 8K resolution image. Now, some people may argue that 8K is useless as there's not a lot of content that actually is 8K by default, but that depends on what you actually do. And if you're wondering, the jump from 4K to 8K is absolutely noticeable. Now, it's not quite as massive as a jump as 1080p to 4K as you might expect, but it's a level of refinement that comes with the QN900F that simply can't be achieved by any other 4K display on the market. But the question is, is it worth ponying up the thousands of dollars to pick up a QN900F, or should you save that money and stick with a 4K mini-LED or even OLED in 2025? Well, let's take a look and find out.

So yes, the QN900F is once again a 8K mini-LED TV, which means 7680 by 4320 pixels. And the specific model we're gonna be reviewing today is actually the 75 inch version. And this one comes in at $4,299.99. And that is quite a hefty price point when compared to stuff like even the Bravian 9 from Sony, which is an excellent 4K mini-LED. And even that, I would consider to be pretty expensive. But with the higher AK resolution, as well as the NQA AI Gen 2 processor for upscaling 4K content to 8K, there is a reason for the higher price on this model.

Now it does also come with HDR10, 10 plus, and HLG HDR support, but it does skip out on Dolby Vision, unfortunately. And also you do get warranty, but it's just one year for labor and parts. And if you're wondering about the connectivity, pause if you need to, but I do wanna highlight that it does come with four HDMI 2.1 ports, which in theory should allow this TV to do 8K 120 FPS or 4K 165 FPS. And it can do that at 4K, but unfortunately for whatever reason, it's locked to 60 Hertz at 8K, even though the panel can do 8K 120, which is disappointing because that would be incredible for PC gaming if you could get 8K 120 Hertz.
