A Russian Anti-Drug Game: Antinarkomania

While I'm in the midst of reuploads, here's something new. The steam discovery queue sometimes throws you a curveball, and this game "Antinarkomania" was certainly one of those times. It's an educational game for schoolkids about the dangers of drugs... and giant rats and spiders I guess. Seems that the game was very recently added to Steam (August 27th, 2025), but is originally from 2006, according to the page. This steam version even includes "3 additional levels released later" so it's the complete Antinarkomania experience!

The Russian/Ukrainian developer "PIPE Studio" have released games since the early 2000s, mainly licenced properties, including a couple of Disney collabs. Perhaps this was an exclusive government issued edutainment game that is only now seeing the light of day on a western-available platform. Either way, an interesting rabbit hole to go down.

Unfortunately I do not have the patience to see the game all the way through, but I always appreciate the chance to check out weird & obscure things like this.
