Dr. Gregg Magee delivered a compelling sermon on the power of our words and how they can either bless or curse our lives and the lives of those around us. He explored the biblical concept of spiritual authority and how we, as believers, have the power to break negative declarations over our lives through Christ. The story of Rachel naming her son Benoni (son of my sorrow) in Genesis 35:18, only to have Jacob rename him Benjamin (son of my right hand), beautifully illustrates how we can break negative declarations over our lives. This message encourages us to align our words with God's promises, even in difficult times. It's a call to be mindful of our speech and to resist the temptation to rename our destiny based on present pain.
