An Adventure In Making an 1896 Outfit pt. 1 Underwear

I started my 1896 Project on my 1896 Sewing Machine! First step is this Pair of Victorian Combinations! (Victorian undergarments) I am absolutely in love with Combinations, they are so frilly, lacy and funky!
This month has been incredibly busy, I do however have a few projects lined up in this adventure in making an 1896 outfit, as well as this Victorian underwear I will be making a Victorian corset and i'll be making a Victorian dress. So if you enjoy historical costume making or costume history, I'd love for you to come along with me on this journey.

Combinations were a garment which combined a chemise and drawers into one. They were worn between the skin and the stays or corset for comfort, and as corsets and stays are difficult to wash. They provided the convenience of a washable layer.
