On 14 October 2025, the International Labour Organization (ILO) in partnership with the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment (DFFE) and the Limpopo Economic Development, Environment and Tourism (LEDET) commemorated the International E-Waste Day in Lepelle-Nkumpi Local Municipality, Limpopo Province, under the E-Waste Youth Employment Project.
The event brought together youth, government, training institutions and partners to highlight how responsible e-waste management can create opportunities for skills development, entrepreneurship and decent work, while advancing environmental sustainability.
