Russian missile strike kills at least 21 in Ukraine’s Sumy

At least 21 people are dead after Russia launched a major ballistic missile attack against the northern Ukrainian city of Sumy on the morning of Palm Sunday.

President Zelensky said that the missiles had hit an “ordinary city street and ordinary life”, including homes and an educational institution, on a day when people were going to church to celebrate Palm Sunday.

He said: “A tough reaction from the world is needed. The United States, Europe, everyone in the world who wants an end to this war and killings. Russia wants exactly this kind of terror and is dragging out this war. Without pressure on the aggressor, peace is impossible.”
