How to Play "Girl from the North Country" by Bob Dylan – Acoustic Guitar Lesson

In this video, I’ll show you how to play Bob Dylan’s Girl from the North Country — the beautiful fingerstyle version from The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan album. I will also show you an alternate strumming version that you can play right away while you work on the finger style one.
We’ll break down the chord shapes, right-hand technique, and walk through a simplified version if you’re just starting to work on fingerpicking. I’ll also share some quick background on the song’s roots in British folk music (Scarborough Fair fans, take note) and offer tips for making it your own in a live acoustic set.
