This is the second episode about Mormon history. This episode will cover how the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or LDS ended up in the Great Basin and their conflict with the federal government that culminated in the Utah War. Mormon theocracy, polygamy, and rhetoric about blood atonement would bring the Army to remove Brigham Young as governor. This is the story of the buildup to the Utah War, but it begins before the Mormon exodus.
