The 2011 novel The Song of Achilles is a modern retelling of Homer's The Iliad from the perspective of Achilles' best friend and lover, Patroclus. This book is written by the fabulous Madeline Miller herself. The novel explores themes of love, loss, loyalty, glory, and honor, and features many Greek heroes, gods, and mythical characters. This video has little to no spoilers about the contents of the book. As always, these are my opinions about the book so feel free to comment yours!
