📚 Standards Club Programme | Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Girinagar | World Standards Day 2024

In celebration of World Standards Day 2024, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Kochi Branch Office organized a Special Programme at Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Girinagar. This engaging event aimed to educate students about the pivotal role of standards in promoting safety, quality, and innovation, while aligning with the global theme: "SDG 9 – Innovation, Industry, and Infrastructure."

1️⃣ Orientation Session:

Approximately 70 students participated in an insightful session led by Shri. Sai Kumar Vedula (Joint Director, BIS Kochi).
The session explored the significance of standards in everyday life and their contribution to sustainable development.
Students learned how standards foster quality, safety, and innovation, with examples related to the evolving field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its role in education.

2️⃣ Poster Designing Competition:

Students showcased their creativity on the theme: “How Artificial Intelligence helps Development in Education.”
Posters highlighted the importance of standards in fostering innovation, sustainability, and responsible practices.

3️⃣ Prize Distribution:

Winners of the competition were awarded prize money and certificates of appreciation, sponsored by BIS.
Smt. Sreejyothi N., Principal of Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, distributed the prizes and congratulated the students for their outstanding efforts and active participation.
