CHILD IN TIME, Deep Purple cover by Steve Burk 2025

Well i figured it was time to sing something in my lower voice for a change. I'm always going for high songs like Triumph, Nick Guilder, Styx etc.. It's just so fun to sing high. But I have to remember , not everyone is gonna find that appealing. I have to remember when I was young and didn't sing. I was more into the lower voices like Ian Gillian from Deep Purple, Dio, David Lee Roth. I just liked the tone better when I was just a listener.
So here I am, getting back to my roots. Bringing it down some. LOL Yeah right, till I start screaming my head off in the build up sections LOL I'm so lucky that I have never lost my range vocally over the years. I"m just not abusing it and luckily I taught myself how to sing properly.

I remember being around 14. Seeing the Deep Purple album at a friends house. I'm reading the instruments and I see Organ? I'm like, " what the fuck?" Who the hell wants to hear an organ? LOL Well I gave the album a chance and I was blown away how good Deep Purple in Rock Album was. First album featuring Ian Gillian on vocals. All the songs are killer! Vocals, guitar, drums etc... all on fire! They were never able to put out an album that good again. Pissed me off. Only album that had that same energy was their " Made In Japan" live album. Another amazing record.
