That’s a lot of rain. Heading from Fox Glacier to Franz Josef NZ: West Coast Wildlife Centre & more

Days 63-65: super rainy hike out of Welcome Flat Hut and the Copland Track. There are landslides and swollen streams/creeks to watch out for in that kind of weather. It was still a beautiful hike with some wildlife spotted.

Stayed at Ivory Towers one more night then grabbed the bus over to Franz Josef Glacier and the Rainforest Retreat.

With a few rainy days, I enjoyed some of the tourist attractions in town and rested in those glacial views that peeked out every now and then. I also was able to attend Easter Sunday service at Saint James Church in Franz Josef. What an awesome time with great folks there!
