The 10th of the #NoBackToNormal #DegrowthTalks will explore the possible pathways towards Degrowth strategies for cities. What are the entanglements between capitalist growth and urban processes ? What does practicing Degrowth in urban environments (can) look like ? What does the Covid-19 crisis and its multiple faces impact and will reshape our ways of being in the city, and what could be Degrowth responses?
We will address these questions with Kim Carlotta von Schönfeld, Dalia Milían Bernal and Paul Chatterton.

Kim Carlotta von Schönfeld
Kim Carlotta von Schönfeld is a PhD Candidate in Urban Planning at Wageningen University & Research, The Netherlands. Her PhD explores critical approaches to social learning and social innovation in co-creative planning. She is interested in the power of learning in both challenging and maintaining the status-quo, the benefits and drawbacks of participatory forms of planning, and more generally possible pathways to inclusive and sustainable futures. In search of possibilities for this, she has engaged in the field of post-growth and degrowth, seeking ways to connect the socio-economic insights of related movements with planning research and practice.
