At first glance, this panel looked functional… until we opened it. Inside, we found loose Cutler-Hammer breakers, outdated wiring under trusses, and missing GFCI outlets in an unfinished basement—all violating NEC codes and posing serious safety risks.
🚧 In This Video:
✅ Restoring an old Cutler-Hammer panel: Swapping outdated breakers with new ones to prevent arcing and loose connections.
✅ NEC code compliance: Installing GFCI outlets in unfinished areas (required within 6 feet of water sources).
✅ Safety upgrades: Rerouting wires above trusses (no more dangling cables!) and tightening neutrals/grounds.
✅ Critical checks: Ensuring wire gauges match breaker amps (no 14-gauge wires on 20-amp breakers!).
