Little Tokyo is one of the largest Japanese districts in the US. The area developed from the 1880s and reaches a population of about 30,000 in the beginning of World War II. After the attack on Pearl Harbor that changed quickly since the Japanese population were removed from the area. Today's Little Tokyo is a vibrant area where young people are hanging out. There are many restaurants and coffee shops to choose from. Fugetso-Do is one of the oldest once, making rice cakes since 1903. It is well worth a visit if you are into Japanese sweets
