Flight Report | Lowcoster with regular prices! | Pobeda Boeing 737-800 | Istanbul to Moscow

Pobeda trip report flying from Istanbul IST to Moscow VKO on one of the Pobeda Boeing 737-800 on a beautiful summer day with lots of rain clouds and rainbow on the way to Moscow. You also will see a very beautiful picture of Moscow city and Moscow State university with thunderstorm cloud above.

Absolutelly not comfortable flight from Istanbul to Moscow on this lowcoster Pobeda airline. You will see that you have absolutelly no space for legs on this fully booked flight that lasted for over 4 hours.

We took from runway 36 in Istanbul and just after departure made a right turn towards east to start our route to Moscow. Nowdays russian airlines cannot fly over Europe so the shortest way is on the route Istanbul - Sochi - Makhachkala - Astrakhan - Volgograd - Penza - Tambov - Moscow. Flight was very smooth for my 4F window seat and i was lucky to see great waters of Black sea. We had cloudy weather over Sochi, so had no chance to see Sochi AER airport from above, but later we were granted with great views of Caspian Sea, russian fields and Volga river. Near Moscow we saw very beautiful rain clouds with rainbows and rain falling down. You absolutelly need to see it.

Before departure we had a chance to explore Istanbul airport as well as to have some planespotting session outside and inside airport.

Regarding onboard service, despite its tickets price there are absolutelly no service onboard, except that you can ask for water. You have absolutelly no space for your legs and even don't have chair pocket for your stuff. No entertainment system as well.

All in all it was great, but long flight. Lack of services was covered by absolutelly stunning image of land and clouds outside the window. Video by ‪@readyfordeparture‬
