In this video, we solve Part (b) of Problem 3.8 from Griffiths’ Introduction to Electrodynamics. The task is to find the induced surface charge density on the grounded conducting sphere as a function of θ, and then integrate it to determine the total induced charge. We also verify the expected result based on the image charge method.
