Josh McCown was a quarterback who played for the Chicago Bears in 2011 and 2013.
Drafted by the Arizona Cardinals with the 81st overall pick in the 3rd round of the 2002 NFL Draft, McCown was the ultimate journeyman spending time with the Arizona Cardinals, Detroit Lions, Oakland Raiders, Miami Dolphins, Carolina Panthers, Hartford Colonials of the United Football League and the San Francisco 49ers.
In November of 2011 McCown was signed by the Chicago Bears to backup to Caleb Hanie after an injury to starting quarterback Jay Cutler.
After getting some playing time to replace the struggling Hanie, McCown would spend 2012 on and off the roster.
In 2013 McCown resigned with the Bears and made an impact starting five games to replace an injured Jay Cutler.
He surpassed 300 yards three times, the first in Bears history to do that. In week 14 against the Cowboys he was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week.
McCown ended the season with 1,829 passing yards with 13 touchdowns and a 109.0 passer rating, the third-highest that year and the best in Chicago Bears history.
In 2014, McCown parlayed his success with the Bears to a starting job with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He would later play for the Cleveland Browns, New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles.
Over his 17 years in Pro Football, McCown would play for 12 different teams.
