But the moment she begins to break, someone else steps forward to wreck the moment.

Helot emerges, trembling with fury, refusing to let Rox and Ramona take the woman who once pulled her from beneath the bridge after Lotan nearly erased her from the world. She won’t lose her savior again. And as that old terror stirs, Lotan rises too — ready to drag them all back into the nightmare they thought they’d escaped.
