In the final episode of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Nathan Drake enters the largest mountain of Libertalia, where he finds Henry Avery’s ship that contains lots of treasure. As soon as he finds Sam, Rafe appears, and the duo has a battle with swords, with Drake coming out on top. As the ship burns, Sam and Nate escape it, leaving the treasure behind. In the end, they reunite with Sully and Elena, and the group lives happily ever after. In the game’s epilogue, Nate and Elena have a daughter named Cassie, and the trio lives on a tropical coast, where their journey comes to an end.
My criticism of the game:
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is the ultimate adventure game, perfectly crafting its story and maximizing its adventurous characters. The plot of the game is profoundly the best, with unfathomably beautiful graphics, as well as an incredible character arc. The characters, the imagery, the voyage, and the gameplay are all improved beyond excellence, essentially revolutionizing its representation from previous games. Words are not enough to express how legendary the Uncharted franchise is, let alone Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, especially with its epilogue that ends on an absolutely breathtaking, conclusive note. In general, this game is a sublime showpiece that everyone must play, as it gives the audience a stunning experience with near perfection.
Nonetheless, I’d like to indicate just a few details that the game could have improved. These are no negative things by any means. Granted, the game would have been completely flawless had such concepts been implemented. 1) The villains need to be shown more and given more motives. Understandably, Rafe is a phenomenal antagonist, but sometimes, the player may forget about him. To enhance the idea, the game should have simply shown him more with more reasons. 2) Nathan Drake needs to have more realistic physics with his movement. It’s nice to see the realism of eliminating enemies, but when he parkours, for example, he does it not so sensibly. It’d be nice to witness something that can be depicted in real life. 3) The game has a repetitive theme of showing big locations that always lead to some temple, fortress, castle, etc. The idea is exceptional, but somewhat tedious, so it’d be great to change it, but keep the same concept. 4) The gameplay is minimal in the franchise, but considerably, it’s an adventure game. Granted, it’s unnecessary to overly enhance the gameplay, but if the player could play as other characters or use medical kits, for example, the game would be unbeatable.
Overall, my score for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is a 9.6/10 and 5 stars out of 5 - ★★★★★ - A godlike masterpiece that’s utterly refined in every possible aspect of adventure
