New mountain bike video, October 10th, 2025. Adjusted the Go Pro for better view and used the best settings for posting. It's a lot of work editing and selecting audio. Adjustments are trial and error. Loving my new Cannondale full suspension carbon fiber LT 1 mountain bike.
This is the Peter F. Schabarum Regional Park in Los Angeles County. It's in the Eastern San Gabriel Valley, Rowland Heights, Hacienda Heights, and Walnut. The park is about 575 Acres of rolling hills, oak woodlands, and chaparral. Originally the park was a working cattle ranch and walnut orchard.
Peter F. Schabarum is a former LA County Supervisor.
Fifteen miles of hiking, and biking trails ideal for mountain biking.
October 10th, 2025. This mountain bike journey is the ten mile loop around the the park. Adjust the camera better and used better settings for posting. I add some still photos to provide the full perspective of the Park. This park is perfect for preparing for the San Gabriel Mountain trails to build up endurance. There are picnic areas with shaded tables, barbecue pits, and open lawns. The nature of the park is spring wildflowers, oak groves, and a great view of the San Gabriel Mountains. The wildlife in the park are squirrels, coyotes, rabbits, birds, and yes, mountain lions and bob cats. I have seen them personally, hopefully they wont bother you. The equestrian center has many horses for horseback riding, the trails are shared however I give the horses the right of way, not to spook them in any way.
The park is really popular for family picnics and gatherings, hiking the nature trails, fitness groups and outdoor yoga and Tai chi. Seasonal wild flowers are visible year round. Please do your part and help keep the park trash free.
