Sheridan Wins One For The Ages to Reach State Final
The first ever triple overtime game in OHSAA Girls State Tournament history saw the Lady Generals on the victorious end as they defeated Norton 68-60 to advance to the D2 State Championship.
With countless momentum swings, crowd-raising buckets, and a defining moment for virtually every player on the court, this game will go down as one of the most iconic games ever to be played in the postseason.
Sophomore Jamisyn Stinson hit constant crucial threes, including two in the final 35 seconds to help force the first overtime. She had 21 points. Faith Stinson had 17 points to go with 11 rebounds, 8 assists, and 6 blocks. Bailey Beckstedt and Halle Warner also had double-digit scoring nights as the Lady Generals will now play Kettering Archbishop Alter this Saturday at 2:00 back in Dayton for a State Title.
