Raw clips from NY Street Comp, July 2006. I can't remember the order, but they were nominating skaters here so I assume it's spot #1.

I assure you I'm not cherry picking John Bolino clips, this was his show...he completely killed this spot. He threw down several tricks here, while the other skaters maybe only got 1 or 2 each.

THE TALE OF THE LOST GL:

In early 2006, I bought a canon gl1 and a shitty raynox fisheye. I hit the road, traveling up and down the east coast, filming as much as I could. life was great. I had intended on using the footage for a blading video magazine project I was working on at the time.

About halfway through the trip, I got antsy. So, I hooked up my camera and started capturing footage. It was then that I discovered my gl1’s heads have malfunctioned randomly. about 50% of the footage was destroyed, and I was now in Boston…headed to a session…with a broken gl1 I had just dumped my life’s savings into.

Long story short, the project was abandoned. when I got home, I took the tapes and shoved them in a drawer…only to recover them now, in early 2022 – 16 years later…

These are those tapes.
