A cycling video testing how the GoPro Hero4 Session action camera works in low light conditions.
The ride starts with the sun still up, but it quickly gets darker and darker. Please note that this test is only meant to demonstrate how the camera works while moving fast. The results would be very different if the camera remained motionless.
Halfway through the test, it really gets dark, so I went pretty slow for safety reasons. Picture actually looks lighter than what it was in reality.
Recorded on October 17th, 2015 at 18.20. Clear sky, no wind.
The settings used were:
Auto Low Light: Off
ISO Limit: 400
Auto Low Light setting reduces the frame rate in low light conditions. This makes the picture more visible, but at an expense of smoothness. Although larger ISO provides more light to each frame, it also adds noise to the video.
This is a second video in the low light test series. In the first test, I demonstrated how the camera behaves with auto low light switched to on and ISO limited to 1600.
Camera: GoPro Hero4 Session @ 1080p / 60fps
