Singapore Bus Route Visuals: SBS Transit Feeder Service 296

While bus enthusiasts today are hyping around the 2nd Tranche of SMRT Buses in Jurong West, or the new BCEP Bus Service 861, here's a hyperlapse on Bus Service 296, in which starting today, 15 September 2024, will serve Giant Hypermarket just opposite IKEA Tampines.

This relatively new feeder passes by Tampines Avenue 5/6/11, North Drive 1, Street 64, and North Drive 2.

Due to the U-Turn at the end of Tampines North Drive 2, double-decker buses are not deployed.

Unlike other services from Tampines MRT such as 27, 68, and 168, 296 stops in front of the Tampines Retail Park instead of by the side at Tampines Avenue 10, offering convenience and also to be an alternative to the Tampines Retail Park shuttle buses which operate at 30-60 minute frequencies.

Just like Service 72, it also enters Tampines Interchange from Avenue 5 via Central 8 instead of Central 2.
