Had this game sitting around and since I love the Sam Rami Spider-Man Films thought why not. It sort of follows the film but not really. They add minor differences to where it can be its own continuity. In this game, you fight Shocker, Vulture, Scorpion, Goblin, and as an Xbox exclusive Kraven. The game is alright but there are definitely some issues that show how new developers were to making games on the Xbox. The camera can be tricky causing you to go into walls you didn’t intend on going into. The sticking to walls automatically can also be annoying. Then there’s the lack of checkpoints which can make some levels unforgiving. But the game has decent control, the beat em up is satisfying, and some of the levels, like Kraven’s, is pretty fun. You also get Bruce Cambell as a narrator for the tutorials, Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man, and the great William Dafoe as Goblin/Norman Osborn. Not a first bad attempt but could be better. Not sure if I’ll continue the series but if I do I’m hoping the next games are improvements. Enjoy!
