Ek gavantu ek Rayu, Thaggele gandi ghayu!" (There lived a king with a wound on his bum!). Elders resorted to these rhyming lines ( Konkani) when children pestered them when they were too weary, uninterested, or busy to tell a story. So, this king’s story never took off. This film builds a story taking off from those lines.

Vaayari baslo keeru. ( a parrot sat on the fibre )
Keeru ubbunu gello, ( parrot flew away)
Vaayu thuntunu gello, ( the fibre snapped off)
Ghayu sukkunu gello, ( the wound dried up)
Rayu mornu gello! ( the king fell dead)
