Medalghes and Genova Hut - Dolomites: Gravel Bike or Mountain Bike? Which is the Best Choice?

I can't really tell you which bike is better for this ride! Medalghes and the Genova Hut at the foot of Pütia offer a great mix of sections where the gravel bike feels perfect and others, especially downhill, where the mountain bike is definitely better. It all depends on how you ride and your skills. This spectacular loop can easily be compared to the Fanes Loop, although it requires excellent riding skills and bike control. It’s not for everyone! And if you’re thinking about doing this route as part of a bikepacking trip with bags on your bike, I’ll stop you right here—I don’t recommend it. Consider yourself warned!
