Five Confederate soldiers posing as Canadians lived among the residents of St. Albans, Vermont for five days during the Civil War in 1864. The mission was to rob banks to raise money for the Confederate cause, and to trick the Union Army into diverting troops to defend their northern border against further raids. This engrossing drama shows the planning, conflicts, dangers, and even the loves of the soldiers living among the enemy. Known to history as the St. Albans Raid, raiders robbed three banks of more than $200,000 for the Confederate cause. The large cast in the live television show from 1957 includes Paul Tripp, Ralph Dunn, John McGovern, Olive Sturgess, James Pritchett, Clu Gulager, Donald May, Alan Mixon, Robert Dowdell, John Napier, Charles Robinson, Don McHenry, Truman Smith, Glenn Cannon, and Gene Gross. Complete with all commercials for Goodyear, the greatest name in rubber. Air Date September 15, 1957. Some music was changed or added due to music copyright claims.
