Painting Cold War Soviet Armour - How I Paint Things

Four hundred and fifty is a lot less terrifying when you write it out as 450. That's just three little characters! That's nothing, right? I've been plugging away at this channel coming into its seventh year... that's more than one video a week for seven years straight. Some better than others, no doubt, but yes: all of them are very special.

The T-55 was an unpleasant shock to NATO when it first appeared on the scene. Well-armed and relatively well-armoured for its time, with a low profile which made it a dangerous target, like most Soviet-designed vehicles it lacked space in the fighting compartment which meant it was a challenge for crew to move around easily in combat conditions. Nonetheless it was a solid, easily maintained, capable workhorse, with modernization programs that have seen it continue in service with some armies into the 21st Century.
