Going back in time, 7-year-old me would play Sonic 2 on my Genesis over and over again. Sonic has been in my life for a long time. But over the years, Sonic has gone through many different changes and a cycle that fans find disappointed over and over again. But back in 1999, a console was released that has such a cult following in the Dreamcast. And two years later, we got a sequel to a game released in the Sonic series that is still considered one of the best in the series: Sonic Adventure 2.
Sonic's first foray into 3D gave us a game that was as close to what Sonic was in 2D into the third dimension. The sequel only added onto the series and gave us one of the series most... interesting character introduced? Shadow has been a staple in the series since this game, but sometimes for the best and sometimes... Well, we don't talk about Sonic with guns...
