Have you ever seen butterfish feeding on the surface? Kaikoura put on an absolute stunner for us showing how bountiful it's coastline really is. Hazy conditions would've made for difficult conditions but with so many fish around we had no trouble securing a feed and some fish for the freezer. We also ran into a couple of huge pods of dusky dolphins who showed off their skills launching into the air.
