Correcting the Focus on Chinese Imitation ACOG Scopes

UPDATE 2-27-23: I no longer use any fake ACOG scopes and do not recommend them. See the link at the bottom of this description for the most thorough testing that probably anyone has done on these fake ACOGS. Those tests eventually resulted in me buying a 3rd genuine ACOG and a Vortex Viper PST II rather than fool with the fake ACOGs. Yes, they can be usable with a corrective lens or some other repair that requires disassembly to correct the focus as suggested by some folks in the comments below but the fake ACOGs will never be a competitor to a real ACOG.

For all 5 scopes I tested, +2.50 diopters was the proper correction, but it's possible yours may need a different correction. I recommend you take your scope to the dollar store and try out some different strength reading glasses to determine the best correction for you.
