as a teen, i found my way to too dark park and was so blown away by the sophisticated, alien arrangements & sound design.. i could hardly believe humans created it.
now, as a "grown up" father of two girls... i'm still curious to know how this cinematic music came out of a series of apartments in (mostly) vancouver. these videos are a deliberately amateur way of capturing the normal places in which this highly abnormal music came to be (at least in the writing process) on a good old family vacation. "hey kids, that there is where those polanski samples from "the tenant" were laid down!"
i've traveled to liverpool to see places like sefton park where john lennon's parents met, so it's worth see where the music of a group who would make too dark park was birthed. thanks to sir cevin key for posting the addresses that linked up to these classic albums. any comments to further information about these locations would be greatly appreciated. i hope you enjoy!
