SCONES RECIPE EASY TO MAKE WITH PANTRY INGREDIENTS.
250G SELF RAISING FLOUR
100G COLD BUTTER ( CUT IN CUBES)
2G SALT
3 TABLESPOONS COLD PLAIN YOGURT
4 TABLESPOONS CASTER SUGAR OR POWDERED SUGAR
2 EGGS (1 FOR THE MIXTURE AND THE OTHER ONE FOR COATING THE TOP OF THE SCONES)
METHOD
-Beat 1 whole egg with 3 Tbsp of yogurt, set aside
-Add salt and powdered sugar, mix well
-Add butter mix until crumbly
-Add the previously beaten egg mixture, mix quickly with a wooden spoon then continue with the hands until roughly combined
-Put on a floured work surface, lightly dust the dough with flour, spread out the dough with your hands to about 2 cm thick
-Cut out 8 scones using a cookie cutter 5,5cm in diameter, put on a lined baking tray
-Beat 1 egg, lightly coat the scones on top
-Bake in a preheated oven for 20 minutes at 190*c
-Remove from the oven and put on a wire rack allow them to cool completely
-Enjoy
