"Children of the Light" by Mark Hayes is a jubilant musical setting of 1 Thessalonians 5: 8-11, 16-17 and Ephesians 5: 8-10 while adding depth to its message with the verse from 1 Thessalonians 5:11: "Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing."

Ephesians 5: 8-10 speaks of living as "children of the light," implying a life characterized by goodness, righteousness, and truth. Mark Hayes translates this scriptural message into the music by crafting a composition that emanates a sense of spiritual illumination.
