Via Crucis or Way of the Cross. It takes place annually at the Moriones Festival in Marinduque.

According to Christian legend, Dismas was on Jesus' right on the crucifixion, and Gestas was on his left.

Father Dionisio Santiago, a priest in Mogpog, Marinduque, had an idea for a distinctive manner to commemorate Holy Week during the Spanish colonial era, which is when the Moriones Festival got its start. He started a custom in which individuals wore masks and helmets while posing like Roman troops.

The Via Crucis is one of the festival's centerpieces. a recreation of Christ's agony en route to Calvary. People hurt themselves by carrying a wooden cross, beating their backs, and occasionally even being crucified. They consider this deed to be their way of making amends for their transgressions.

Jesus' agony, crucifixion, death, and resurrection are commemorated at the feast.
