Gen Xers and elder millennials knew him best as the frontman for Screaming Trees, thanks to their ubiquitous 1992 grunge hit "I Nearly Lost You," but the late Mark Lanegan had some serious staying power in the industry. After Screaming Trees disbanded, Lanegan collaborated with a diverse group of artists, including PJ Harvey, Moby, Isobel Campbell (Belle and Sebastian), The Armed, and, perhaps most notably, hard rockers Queens of the Stone Age. Along the way, Lanegan faced plenty of obstacles, and battled his share of demons. This is the tragic life and death of Mark Lanegan from Queens of the Stone Age.
