Plymouth''s new Wilko opens today after The Range takeover

Shoppers have been queueing outside Plymouth’s £2.25m Wilko this morning, Friday, December 1, ready to enter the new store for the first time. There is an exciting surprise for the first visitors through the Armada Centre shop's doors, with gifts being given to the first 50 people.
Today's opening comes just weeks after it was brought back to life by Chris Dawson’s The Range chain. Lord Mayor Cllr Mark Shayer, and Lady Mayoress Samantha Shayer, have officiated the 9am opening.
The Plymouth site is a new “concept” Wilko store and the first to open ahead of a roll-out that will continue throughout 2024.
