Okushiri Island is located in the southwestern part of Hokkaido.
It is not a famous place at all yet, but there are small mountain streams and seas suitable for fly-fishing, and you can catch a lot of fish. There is also a winery.
Recently, some outdoor enthusiasts have started coming to the island for sea kayaking, trekking and MTB in the virgin forest, and rock climbing on the numerous huge rocks.
And young entrepreneurs are starting outdoor-based businesses.
The Perry Pork supports outdoor tourism on the island.
