🌧️ Piove dentro dal vecchio tetto: perline marce e bucate, provo a sanare il problema (Ep. 71)

🇮🇹 Ripartiamo col botto! È arrivato il conto da pagare: aver trascurato un tetto problematico per molti mesi non è stata una buona idea. Da che sono qui, il tetto del casotto ha sempre avuto problemi di infiltrazioni, che nel corso del 2024 sono aumentate. Preso da mille cose ho sempre rimandato finché il legname non si è deteriorato troppo, trasformando qualche goccia in fiumi d'acqua. E allora smonto tutti i coppi e guardo bene la situazione: un disastro! Tampono con qualche asse in attesa di decidere cosa fare, demolisco il comignolo per far spazio a un telo di plastica adatto a sopportare le intemperie montane, e lo fermo con un perimetro di tegole. Forse non la soluzione migliore, ma è temporanea. Intanto, nel giro di qualche giorno l'interno del casotto si è completamente asciugato e l'odore di muffa si è ridotto. Un buon punto di partenza, no? Bentornati al Chignadì :-)

🇬🇧 Let's start again with a bang! The bill has arrived: neglecting a problematic roof for many months was not a good idea. Since I have been here, the roof of the shed has always had problems with leaks, which increased during 2024. Busy with a thousand things, I always put it off until the wood deteriorated too much, turning a few drops into rivers of water. So I take down all the tiles and take a good look at the situation: a disaster! I dab with some boards while waiting to decide what to do, I demolish the chimney to make room for a plastic sheet suitable for withstanding the mountain weather, and I secure it with a perimeter of tiles. Maybe not the best solution, but it's temporary. Meanwhile, within a few days the inside of the shed was completely dry and the musty smell was reduced. A good starting point, right? Welcome back to Chignadì :-)
