First published in Rome, 1623, this is the first of 7 Canzoni for bass solo. The piece is from the late renaissance period and works well on the bassoon. Hard to believe this music is 400 years old! I have augmented the continuo part with an organ and a lute, courtesy of Logic Pro X.
Performed on an AJ French Bassoon.
