Join me for my first walk in Suzhou, China.
In this video, I explore the Humble Administrator’s Garden, one of the most famous classical gardens in China, and then wander through the old streets and canals that give Suzhou its unique charm.
This was filmed during a weekend, so the crowds were intense, but I still tried to capture the essence of Suzhou through raw walking footage. Suzhou is called the “Venice of China,” and while it has a similar atmosphere with its canals and old bridges, it really has a beauty of its own.
If you’re visiting Shanghai, a day trip to Suzhou is easy but I’d recommend staying overnight if you want to explore more and also see the city at night with all the lantern lit up. I’d love to return at some point on a weekday for a calmer experience.
